Ryan Ill

Ryan is the kind of guy you just cannot help but love.  He smiles a lot.  He is always ready to help anyone with anything.  He lives his faith and shows it by caring for all sorts of people. He is the kind of hero every kid would want to run into—except on the football field—then you might want to run the other way!

Ryan comes by his servant attitude naturally.  His grandmother worked tirelessly in our St. Paul library and also clipped an endless number of Campbell soup labels.  His dad is a volunteer fire fighter and a member of our St. Paul Board of Education.  His mom is on our altar guild and has been a faithful volunteer in many areas.  His sister voluntarily tutored students at St. Paul after school.  His great grandpa used to punch lunch tickets every day.  Most importantly, Ryan is a child of God who is serving his God and his country in Afghanistan.  St. Paul students are praying for his protection on a daily basis and we just thought it would be wonderful to send him a love packet to let him know he is in our thoughts and prayers.  Students will be able to send personal messages and we hope to pack up some of his favorites.  Here are some of the things that would most thrill Ryan.  By the way, Ryan loves to share and so do the other 11 guys in his unit.   We would like to send 12 of whatever we send so that we could be a blessing to all the guys.

Ramen Noodles

Ravioli

Canned Fruit

Gatorade Powder (singles)

Books

Sudoku Books

Ranch Flavored Sunflower Seeds

Tissues

Nature Valley Bars

We will pay for all the postage and if you would prefer to participate by simply sending a cash donation, we will send some people shopping.  We would like to make this happen as quickly as possible so it could arrive near Valentine’s Day, so please send your donated items or money by Monday, January 23.  Thanks a bunch for helping if that is what God is tugging at your heart to do.  Please keep him in your family’s prayers as well.
