October 2024
We requested bids for review, but only received one. That bid was about 50% more than we had anticipated prior to this point. The Board of Trustees declined this bid and has begun looking into alternative avenues for completing this work. We have selected Serenus Johnson to be our general contractor and will work with them to properly scope, detail, and price the work needed. This will likely be a cost based project with budget management versus a standard contract. Ironing out these details will delay our start till early spring, but will ensure we are getting the best work and the most cost effective rate.
Financing is being arranged with CEF. We would use the funds raised first, and then get a line of credit (construction loan) to continue paying the contractor. At the end of the project, this would be converted to a Mortgage.
