Day 4

2/9/2015

John 3:16-17  (ESV)
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn
the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Meditative thoughts:
Many Christians know verse 16, but what additional comfort is verse 17 for you?
Think about the word “love” and how much God proved he loves you through Jesus.

Also consider the meaning of "GRACE." See p. 1902 in TLSB.
(Romans 5:12-21)

LSB 544:1 "O love, how deep, how broad, how high,
Beyond all thought and fantasy,
That God, the Son of God, should take
Our mortal form for mortals' sake,"

I absolutely love the option to comment and discuss the daily devotion. I think that verse 17 is a great way to reach a generation that sees the church as too judgemental (not that I agree with that view, but it is prevalent).

Absolutely love the link to be able to read scripture. Thank you everyone who has made this possible.

Great fix and comment field is wonderful for sharing with our brothers and sisters. Verse seventeen has always been comforting and a good talking point when witnessing.
